What do Fenway Park, the Pulitzer Prize, and the Girl Scouts all have in common with Seider Heating, Plumbing & Electrical? We’re all turning 107 this year. It’s thanks in large part to decades of loyalty from Southeastern Wisconsin residents like you. We’re proud to be your go-to heating and cooling provider since 1912, and we’re proud to carry that label going into the next 107 years.
From a Humble Hardware Store to Regional Headquarters
Owners Arthur Seider and William Pergande opened Seider Heating on Hopkins Street in Milwaukee, where we began as a simple hardware store. Eventually, Arthur bought out William’s share of the business and changed the store’s name to “Seider Hardware”. During the Great Depression, Arthur recruited his sons Hilbert and Harold as employees. The move helped turn Seider into the four-generation family business that it is today.
Seider changed again in 1965, when we were incorporated as Seider Heating & Air Conditioning. Since then, the company has only continued to grow—we purchased F.X. Jacoby (now Envira-Tech) in 1988 and joined the commercial installation sector. Then in 2013, Seider bought another location in Menomonee Falls, setting ourselves up to offer a full spectrum of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services to customers.
In 2019, Seider is celebrating its rich history with a team of about 50 technicians, installers, customer service specialists, and sales professionals from its Waukesha headquarters. Harold Seider’s son Bryan and grandson Blake operate the business today, with Bryan’s brother Todd serving as leader of the installation team.
